Since then, I've had a few staff jobs, and traveled for 4 years. I work at the VA now. I was also accepted to SUNY Upstate for their in person PMHNP program (I had to decline due to my husband getting last minute PCS orders), and to an online school. Right now I'm considering applying to a MSN at the University of Colorado.
