Like many PTR owners, my rifle will reliably fire (i.e., single shot rifle) any NATO 7.62 ammo. I called PTR and got the standard reply to use a restructed list of ammo. The rifle function well with 2 of the types of ammo recommended.My #102 has a P-rail so mount + optic was straightforward. My take is that a good optic starts at around $400. One can go well past $2,000 if he’s so inclined. 1X for short-range (and illuminated reticle option) seems obvious; 6X, 8X & 10X are all possibilities at other end. I chose PRIMARY ARMS optic in 1X8 and AMERICAN DEFENSE QD mount.RIS for KWA LM4. Actually picked up the following RIS from Evike for about $60 and it fit like a dream - great quality, zero rattle or movement. Did also buy a Delta Ring hand guard tool to make things simple.
